Convar publishes this data recovery program. It supports the NTFS and FAT 12/16/32 file systems. You can locate partitions automatically, even if the FAT or boot sector is damaged (will not work with the NTFS file system) or erased. You will be able to recover files with the original date and time stamp. You can also save recovered files on network drives with Version 4. Using this you will be able to get your damaged or lost files in no time.

Pros: Works well and it is very easy to use.

This one has many nice features you are sure to need. It covers most everything you should want it to.

Pros: Complete program fits on one floppy.
It runs in DOS so it doesn’t need a bootable drive.

Cons: Shows long file names but doesn’t keep them for copied files.
Can only transfer files to another hard drive or floppy.

Other features include automatic shutdown, connection, free space management, and cookie, it also integrates with Microsoft Internet Explorer, Opera, MSN Explorer, Mozilla, Avant Browser, Netscape, Maxthon (MyIE2), Firefox, and other browsers, to take care of downloads. This is great when you are almost done with a download and something stops it – you will never have to start a download again.

Version 2.3 has improved data recovery and reliability from unexpected errors and events, a scheduler, and has bug fixes.

It will work on all Windows systems. It is free with no limitations.

Pros: It downloads using Opera and Internet Explorer.

Cons: It doesn’t support Firefox.
